About Me

I'm an elementary education major at BYU. I love learning, being silly, and making people smile. I'm your average five foot nothin' college student, I guess you could say. I love my life. I love my church.

Simplify

Call me a naturalist, but don't you think sometimes humans make things way more complicated than need to be?

All the evidence I need for this is for you to spend five seconds on pinterest. When did engagement pictures become a form of high-class art? Why did anyone take the time to figure out how to make a cake that looks like the American flag...on the inside.

Don't get me wrong, I love pinterest as much as the next female-who-is-not-taking-classes-during-the-summer, but some of these things make me sigh.

And the frustrating thing is that this over-complication pattern extends so much further than looking at pictures on the internet. Talk to anyone about dating, school, eating, exercise...the list goes on. Maybe we all just need to take a step back for a millisecond and say "Is this really important?"

No. A lot of times the answer is no. Will things be okay? Almost always. Especially when we try our very best.

So let's just start loving people more, taking chances, saying our prayers, trusting God.

Those are my thoughts, do with them what you will.
